Abhyangam :
Along with other massage techniques, Abhyanga massage is given to help the body expel toxins from the body as quickly as possible. This is a fully body massage with medicated oils to balance specific conditions. The oils used contain herbs and ingredients that pacify the unbalanced Vata, Pitta and Kapha energies.
Steam Bath :
This is a treatment that is highly recommended after oil massage to generate maximum benefits. Steam containing vapours of detoxifying and balancing herbs is given to the whole body. Thewhole tissues of the body which are obstructed by the disease causing factors gets opened by the action of steam enabling the impurities to be flushed out. Thus their elimination from the body becomes easier. It also moisturizes and dehydrates the skin making it soft and smooth, adding to the benefits of massage.
Shirodhara :
A mixture of cooling and balancing herbal oils and medicated ghee is trickled over the forehead for 45 to 60 minutes in a continuous warm stream in a quiet, soothing atmosphere. This is a special Ayurvedic treatment that gives total relaxation to mind and body, and is the best way to pamper yourself after a hard stressful day.
For therapeutic purposes, Shirodhara treatment is used to heal chronic neuro-muscular disorders and problems like hypertension, insomnia, depression, anxiety, headaches, restlessness, among others. This treatment has a powerful effect on the mental and emotional well being of the individual.
Shirobhyanga :
This is an ancient technique to relax and relieve mental fatigue and confusion. It helps to create more clarity and regenerate the mind and brain activity for better functioning. The oils used for this massage contain herbs that the calming to the mind, and stimulant to the brain, nerves and sensory organs. A soothing massage of the head, neck & shoulder for 20-25 minutes using warm herbal oils. Kizhi :
A highly rejuvenathing treatment with several other herbal ingredients and tied into boluses, dipped into warm medicated oil and simultaneously massaged by therapists all over the body for 30-35 minutes, it is applied after Abhyanga. Recommended for Chronic back pain, Loss of function of a part or whole limb, Joint stiffness and swelling, Muscular pain, Anti-aging, Sprains and cramps.
Chavutti Thirumal (Massage using foot) :
Chavutti thirumal comes from Kerala (South India) and is part of the ayurvedic system. It is said to have developed to promote suppleness to traditional dancers, martial art practitioners and yoga practitioners. It is a specialized form of massage to aid the proper flow of energy through the channels. The therapist uses his feet and toes to massage the Patient. The oils used are as same as in Abhyangam. This massage is most therapeutic and rejuvenative. It is very effective for lower back problems, spondylitis, whiplash, arthritis, sports injuries and joint pains.
Padaabhyanga / Reflexology:
A very stimulating massage of the lower legs and the feet for 25-30 minutes to activate the acupressure points. Improves sleep, Improves smoothen cracked skin of the feet, Hyper tension, Relieves tiredness of the feet.
Hrid Vasti :
This procedure is applied over the heart for 25-30 minutes using warm medicated oils or herbal decoctions. Strengthening of the heart, Relieves deep seated anger and sadness, Cardio Myopathy.
Kati Vasti :
A special technique aimed at providing relief to the lower back using warm medicated oils or herbal decoctions when bathing the lower back for 25-30 minutes. Chronic and acute backaches, Prolapsed disc, and Osteoporosis.
Greeva Vasti :
Bathing the back of the neck using Warm medicated oil or herbal decoction for 25-30 minutes. This will benefit from chronic pain in the neck region, and compression fractures.
Chakra Vasti :
This Vasti is applied to the umbilical region. It acts on the solar plexus and balances the digestive fire for 25-30 minutes. Helps with Indigestion, Constipation.
Udvarthanam (Slimming Massage) :
This treatment is also known as the Powder Massage. A special Ayurvedic Herbal powders are applied on the body by therapists with special techniques for 60 minutes. This treatment is extremely effective for obesity, skin diseases, impaired circulation and blood circulation.
